Join Austin CityUP, Slalom, and speakers and participants from City of Austin, Central Health of Texas, Downtown Austin Alliance, Housing Authority of the City of Austin, local business and more for a COVID-19 Austin Response Virtual Town Hall meeting on April 23rd. The COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in challenges both foreseen (businesses closing and services being https://www.austintechnologycouncil.org/event/austin-covid-19-…own-hall-meeting/paused, unemployment) and unexpected. However, there are now many people with education, talent, and time that can contribute to solutions to these challenges. This town hall event will share community needs–from health, safety and mobility to food, employment, Internet connections and more–as a start to leveraging our community’s creative, compassionate people to address the many pressing and escalating challenges impacting our city today.
Join representatives from local government organizations local businesses and community organizations to learn more about the needs and issues of our community due to the many impacts of COVID-19. This town hall will provide an informed, expert foundation for the issues in need of solutions, and will be followed by focused, interactive workshops to collectively explore ways to match newly available resource capacity (both human and physical resources) to newly emerging resource needs in response to COVID-19.
