When is the 2012 ATC CEO Summit?

Thursday, May 17 – Friday, May 18, 2012. Registration starts Thursday at 1 p.m. with the events following from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. and reception from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday’s event is from 8:00 a.m. to noon.

What is the ATC CEO Summit?

The ATC CEO Summit is a two day gathering of C-level executives from technology companies in the Austin area, and beyond in Texas. Attendees come together once a year to collaborate on the creation of a shared vision for technology, to share best practices and to meet colleagues that have the same challenges and opportunities in growing their companies.

What is the history of the ATC CEO Summit?

The CEO Summit began in 2011 with 100 Austin area CEOs gathered for one day in May. The ATC CEO Summit has expanded in 2012 to include additional executives (CIOs, CTOs and CFOs) and welcomes executives across the state.

Why should I come to the ATC CEO Summit?

The CEO Summit is a rare opportunity for the industry to collectively create the vision and direct the next phase of growth for the industry. Invitees are leading New Economy companies responsible for the fastest growing, and most promising, economic sector in Texas. Inspirational keynotes, expert panels and lively debates will center on positioning Texas as a tier-one market for technology.

Who can come to the ATC CEO Summit?

The CEO Summit welcomes those leading companies with the CEO, CIO, CTO or CFO title and role. Some non C-level execs will be allowed to attend. Please contact katy@austintechnologycouncil.org for case-by-case discussions.

Who will be at the ATC CEO Summit, how many people, how will I know who else is going?

C-level leaders in the technology industry qualify to attend. Please see ATC’s definition of technology industry requirements. Companies must: • Manufacture technology products or have proprietary ownership and management of a technology product. • Derive the majority of its revenues from development and/or publication of software, e-Commerce platforms, digital media, mobile technology, gaming technology, biotech applications. ATC will regularly post updates on companies represented and those attending.

Who’s already committed to the ATC CEO Summit?

Executives from BazaarVoice, Gazzang, Homeaway, MutualMobile, and Spredfast have already registered.

Who came last year?

Some highlights include executives from Calxeda, Gowalla, InfoChimps, MutualMobile, OtherInbox, uShip and Austin leaders of Facebook and Google.

Who is sponsoring the ATC CEO Summit?

ATC would not be able to convene the CEO Summit without the title support of Baker Botts, Northside Advisors and FrankfurtRheinMain. Additional sponsors will be announced over time. Please check back for updates.

How much does the ATC CEO Summit attendance cost?

Early registration of $299 is for members only and only until April 5. Regular registration costs $399 and closes April 30. Late registration of $599 runs from May 1 to May 11. All registration closes Friday, May 11.

What does my registration fee cover?

The fee covers all speakers and content, the room/location and building resources such as Wi-Fi, the Thursday evening reception, and Friday breakfast. Thursday lunch and dinner, Friday lunch are not included. The fee does NOT cover parking or other transportation, or hotel accommodations/lodging.

Can I walk up/attend day of?

No, there is no day-of registration. This event will sell out.

When does registration close?

Registration closes on Friday, May 11. There will be no late additions. This event will sell out.

What if I do need a hotel, want to stay overnight, what are my options?

ATC has secured a special discount of $199/ night room rate with the Hilton Austin to secure a room, go to ATC Hilton Austin link. Or call 1-800-HILTONS and refer to the group code CEO.

How do I sign up/register?

Is ATC membership required to attend the CEO Summit?

For Austin area businesses, only Austin Technology Council members will be allowed to attend. Non-members can join for regular membership rate and also benefit from $100 off each executive ticket to the CEO Summit. Our guests from Dallas, Houston, San Antonio and elsewhere in Texas, need not to be a member of ATC.

Where is the ATC CEO Summit being held? Location? Directions?

Parking at the ATC CEO Summit?

• Self park is available for $20 • Valet is available for $27/day • Parking is also available in the 2nd Street Garage, 201 E. 2nd St. All parking is handled – and paid for – individually by attendees. Parking is not included in CEO Summit costs.

Which meals are included, what is the menu, and how do I handle any special dietary needs.

Food/drink will be served Thursday evening during the reception and Friday morning and will include vegetarian and gluten-free options. All other meals should be planned as “on your own.” Please email leslie@austintechnologycouncil.org to discuss additional special dietary needs.

What about Wi-Fi?

There will be free high speed Wi-Fi Internet access throughout the CEO Summit. Access codes, if needed, will be shared with attendees and broadly publicized.

What is the dress code?

ABC. Austin Business Casual.

What are the cancellation policy, dates/deadlines, refund, and substitutions?

Registration is non-refundable. Substitutions are also not allowed.

What about social media? Twitter handle and hash tag?

Invited press will be allowed to attend the CEO Summit.
